The Georgia Department of Agriculture announced today that all poultry shows, swaps, etc. in the state of Georgia are immediately cancelled due to outbreaks of Avian Influenza in some locations. Our thoughts go out to everyone associated with the Chattahoochee Valley Poultry Association for all of the time and effort they have put into what was going to be an excellent APA Semi-Annual show. I spoke earlier today with Tonya Massengale and they will be in touch in the coming weeks regarding refunding entry fees that had been paid. If you know of anyone that may not have email and needs to be notified of the show being cancelled, please pass the word along to them. The APA General Meeting scheduled for Saturday, February 19th has been postponed, due to the show being cancelled, with a new date and time to be announced later.
