
Applications are now open for the American Poultry Association Richard Stevens Scholarship. Two scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 each will be awarded in 2025.
The Richard Stevens Scholarship supports anyone wishing to pursue an educational program beyond a traditional high school education. Eligible programs include study at a four-year college, a two-year community or technical college, graduate studies, or any other program that will expand the applicant’s career and educational opportunities.

Educational Program Requirement
Applicants must be a graduating high school senior, a high school graduate, or have obtained a GED. Eligible fields include four-year colleges, two-year community or technical colleges, graduate studies, or other career-expanding programs.APA Membership Requirement
Applicants must have been a member of the American Poultry Association for at least three years prior to the application deadline.Academic Requirements
Applicants who are graduating or have graduated within the past five years must have a minimum C+ grade point average (2.3 on a 4.0 scale). A copy of their high school transcript must be submitted with the application.
Applicants who left high school more than five years ago must provide a high school diploma or evidence of a GED.
Applicants pursuing a graduate program must submit a copy of their undergraduate transcript.
Program Location Requirement
The educational program must be located in the United States or Canada.
How to Apply:
Applications will be available on the APA’s website beginning April 15, 2025. Scholarship Application Form (You must log in as an APA member to access the scholarship application.)
Reference forms will be available on the public portion of the APA website.
Scholarship Refrences Form Each applicant must submit two reference forms:At least one reference must come from a current APA member.
Reference forms may not be submitted by relatives or guardians.
Applications and reference forms may also be requested from the APA Office.
Submission Deadline:
All completed scholarship applications, two reference forms, and any additional required documentation must be submitted to the APA Secretary by May 31, 2025.
